Update: Dekatur has been adopted

This handsome boy will be available for adoption in the very near future. Sadly, Dekatur’s owner was murdered in his home Sunday night and there is no family here so he went to the shelter.  Thankfully his relatives in PA knew of me, I’m Dekatur petsitter! They contacted me and explained what happened and asked me to pick him up. I will be picking him up tomorrow evening and he will stay with me until he is adopted. The breeder has been contacted and was ready to board a plane and fly across the country to pick him up but I assured her he’s safe with me until a new forever home is found ❤️

Dekatur is a neutered male Doberman who is a big boy! Probably around 80lbs. He’s very athletic and loves to play ball, his owner took him every day to the park to chase the ball. Dekatur is 6.5 years old and in good health. Dekatur will do great with a female dog, not a male dog though.
